This is a new and innovative role which will be a key part of the ward team providing essential support to Registered Nurses and delivering direct patient care through enhanced skills. You will also supervise HCSW’s at Band 2&3.

You will be a pivotal new member of a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality care to patients in our ward settings. You will support the nurses by providing clinical nursing support and enhancing the quality of hands on care. You will work without direct supervision, with delegated responsibilities from the Registered Nurse which could include wound care, blood glucose monitoring, ECG recording, vital observations and NEWS, cannulation, and medication administration.

You will be caring, compassionate, enthusiastic, dedicated and competent at Level 4.

In order to apply, you will need to hold:

NVQ/QCF Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent appropriate qualification to diploma level

A qualification in Maths and English

Significant experience working as a support worker in a healthcare environment

Experience & competence in undertaking a range of clinical skills
